Personalized Learning in a Digital Learning Environment

Today was Digital Learning Day. A great way to focus and showcase the many different things schools and districts are practicing to take advantage and leverage the tools available and make them work for student engagement and achievement.

Awesome projects and work going on in Wisconsin and across other states.

Our work though is in making sure the focus stays on learning with digital tools and not on the tools themselves. We often can get caught up in the bells and whistles, but it is learning that we need to make the star of the show.

Our work in CESA #1 - SE Wisconsin is moving beyond our region, but we are continuing to focus on the work that needs to be completed on transforming public education and the way to do that is through personalized learning - which uses digital tools.

Please take some time to view our real examples of personalized learning in a digital age and listen to on the ground educators and administrators as they describe their success, their next steps, and their aha moments. As so rightly stated by one of our superintendents - "It's NOT about the stuff!"
