Passwords- What did I use?

Password management is a skill all in its own. As you add more digital connections and resources to your life, you have more passwords. Security has defined that these passwords become more complex. And even though single sign on through 3rd party apps is becoming more available - it also posses risks.

Remember - determine your risk. If someone hacks a site where you keep your favorite recipes, you might lose that special party appetizer for a while, but it won't change your life like your financial portfolio or credit card access.

Categorize your life into risk levels and determine your password strategy. As much as you can - keep your work and personal life separate as far as access. What things will you want access to and should you have access to if you change jobs or positions. Be sure to communicate with your employer on what things they see as access as an employee vs. access as an individual.

I happened upon this blog from an instructional tech trainer on how to use Firefox to determine your passwords and begin to get them in order. Also note - if you can do this - someone else can as well - so how are you protecting your information on computers that others may have access.
